What is UPS SurePost®?
A little slower but a lot cheaper!
UPS SurePost® is an economy, residential, ground service. This service combines the consistency and reliability of the UPS Ground network with final delivery typically provided by the U.S. Postal Service.
UPS picks it up at our warehouse in York, PA and delivers it to a US Post Office near you. The postal service delivers it to your house or PO Box. (lower 48 states only)
Fast Facts
- Only for packages 1-9 pounds. The shipping weight of a 1 lb bag of tobacco is more than 1 lb because of packing material and the box. Also, UPS (and USPS) round up. For example, 2.1 pounds of products would actually be considered by UPS and USPS as weighing 3 pounds. These are the rules of the carriers, not ours!
- 1-2 days slower than UPS Ground
- Only for customers in the continental USA (lower 48 states)
- Unlike other UPS delivery methods, UPS SurePost® can deliver to PO Boxes
