Carrillo is a brand of premium cigars that was founded in 1995 by Ernesto Perez-Carrillo Jr. The cigars are made in the Dominican Republic and are known for their smooth, complex flavor and their long, even burn. Ernesto Perez-Carrillo Jr. is a Cuban-born cigar maker who has over 50 years of experience in the industry. He began his career working for La Gloria Cubana, one of the most popular cigar brands in the world. In 1995, he left La Gloria Cubana to start his own company, E.P. Carrillo. E.P. Carrillo cigars are made with a blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan long-fillers, and a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper. The cigars are then aged for at least 6 months before being rolled.
