I bought a bag of crimson and robust. I also bought ohm bold and Turkish red and smokersout let brand. I liked the ohm Turkish. I opened the crimson today and did not like it. Lots of sticks and dried out. Not impressed with this brand so far (Posted on 2/23/2017)

This is hands down my favorite bag blend I have found.
Has just a hint of burly with the flue cured to give it a nice flavor with a little kick. seems to have a mild casing
Smooth, mellow and with some taste for a change so you know you actually smoked something besides hay.
I can tell these guys also seem to go the extra mile quality wise, not much lumber, nice humidity. Hands down my favorite so far and better than OHM for me. about all I could say is I prefer a slightly bolder and will try the red next round and I wish the cut was slightly shorter but this ribbon rolls excellent still. I had high expectations of this brand based on the reviews. Many more "twigs" in it than my previous brand. Very dry and flavorless. Based on the reviews, I thought it might be too strong, so I also bought Platinum to mix them together. Hardly necessary. I threw the Platinum away-couldn't even tell it was lit. Just stop here guys. I've tried many tobaccos and the quality and taste of smokin g crimson is great. I used to smoke marlboro reds which I loved and I was lost with this pipe tobacco stuff but after several months this has proven to be much much better then even store bought! Switched from The Good Stuff because of too much waste, unusable powder. This is about the same. If you calculate the amount that gets tossed, about %20, it's more $ than advertised for both brands and getting worse each year. Oh well, still beats store bought by a mile. -- BTW, don't let the good set out for long before rehydrating and sealing. The pollen here in Florida will make you sick...ain't worth it. This blend is a smooth yet with a kick blend. I enjoy the flavor without getting a rough throat. It may rimind a little of "Mxxxxx" retail brand.
As with all pipe tobacco's there are some stems which I can easily ignore. The savings outweigh the shortcome by far.
