Only started rolling my own smokes about 2 months ago. Been using this after my first week, started with a cheaper hand injector to see if i liked it. I love this machine, so much easier then hand held injectors. Just don't over pack the chamber with tobacco, if the hand crank feels hard to crank, STOP YOUR TOBACCO IS PACKED TOO HARD AND WILL JAM THE MACHINE! It should be pretty smooth when you crank it. One thing I have noticed is that the finer the tobacco the harder packed it the machine packs it, hence the more of a chance that the machine will jam. It can take a bit to get used to to not pack it too hard, a lighter touch is a must when putting tobacco into the chamber. It's certainly worth the money though, take care of the machine and the machine will take care of you! (Posted on 8/2/2017)

I have been using this handy-dandy cig machine for 10 days and I love it. I opted for the manual method to fill cig tubes in case of a power outage. The device works perfectly and is quick. (Posted on 4/15/2017)

I see reviews that say different, but from my experience, this is the one to have. Now I must say, its the only one I've had, for 5 years, I've been stuffing. I make about 10 - 12 cartons a month, for Mom, wife and myself. I've had great service from this machine. Zero complaints (Posted on 3/7/2017)

I've seen some reviews complaining about issues with filling tubes consistently or about the machine jamming. I did initially have these issues, however, once I cleaned and oiled my machine it has been working perfectly! I now clean it regularly (quick clean after I'm done rolling each time, and a full clean and oiling after every 1 or 2 cartons) This machine is quick and easy to use if maintained properly (Posted on 8/20/2015)

Had many machines, this is the best of the hand cranks and is tougher than it look.s, Neither of my Premier machines lasted. Keep clean, lube with a very light oil and most important do not force the machine. Follow the instructions and it should give you many years - literally- of good service. (Posted on 2/28/2015)

Had this product for over 2 years without having a single problem. Maintenance of this unit is a must. Cleaning of the mechanism monthly with a half inch brush and a light spray of Pam cooking oil will keep this product functionally sound. Having read other reviews I have noticed some negative reviews that can be avoided by not over stuffing the chamber. Practice makes perfect. (Posted on 8/6/2014)

I went through two of these in a year before I switched to it's ugly brother. This one works sweet while it works but it won't hold up to more than a very few of overfills and hard pulls... the crank linkage has a weak joint where the components will wear quickly and eventually snap way earlier than it's price and appearance would have you expect.

Oh yeah, the ugly brother has been beavering away for 3+ years now with no sign of trouble... that's the OTHER Topomatic. (Posted on 2/5/2014)

Replaced my broken premier injector with this. The difference between the two was apparent right away. This has a metal tube that you put the paper on, and it's right out in the open where you can see it. It is very easy to use, and I can make about 8 packs and hour, and they are all good. Would recommend this injector.

I have used this for over a year. I roll myself a carton and would roll my mother-in-law one also each week. She smoked the 100's I the kings. It will do both easily. If it cranks to hard or your tobacco isnt getting to the filter your doing it wrong. Place a small amount of tobacco in the center of the chamber then slide it into each end. Then fill the rest of the chamber. DO NOT pack the tobacco into the chamber or it will crank hard. You want just enough tobacco to cause it to crank firm. Not hard and not easy. Takes awhile to get it down just right. I normally roll a couple boxes of tubes without messing any up. Great machine. (Posted on 10/6/2013)
Nothing Compares to This MachineReview by Shawn

Here's the kicker folks. I AM NOT A SMOKER! I am the roller. I make approximately 105 Cartons a month for friends, family, and any one else that hears that I roll them. I have not had to replace any parts other then the 1 rubber tip and I make sure to clean and oil the machine every time I use it, so it will last a long time. and I been seeing that other people having a hard time with the ends not being full you just lightly pack both ends so it gets all the way to the filter. and I would recommend this to any one. I have been rolling cigarettes for my friends and family for over 10 years and this is by far the best machine I have ever used. The number one thing is to remember after each 5th carton I do, I completely dust & oil all working/moving parts. I dust all moving/working parts after every 2 cartons. Remember I am talking "cartons" here, NOT "packs." It's entirely up to the owner, but I believe I will own this machine for a very long time, I've had it now for 18 months and that's a lot of cartons and only having to replace the little rubber tip, which they sent an extra one with the machine. If you look at the order form, you will see that those little rubber tips cost .20 cents each, that's right just twenty-cents each. Give yourself time to learn the machine, it takes a little while and you will get it down perfect, it just takes practice and patience and in no time, you will be rolling perfect cigarettes. Good luck to anyone who is having a bit of a struggle it will get better, just don't give up, it's worth it in the end. Thank you for letting me give my opinion, sorry it's so long. Shawn :) (Posted on 9/6/2013)

I had mine about 2the months when I started having problems with it. It would not fill the tube all the way to the end and would sometimes spit the tube off to soon. I contacted the manufacturer and they told me how to adjust it. Seemed to work some what better but still the same problems. I like the one piece solid top and it is quick making ciggs. I ended up buying the older style with no problems. I bought mine a few years ago so maybe they have the bugs worked out. (Posted on 2/6/2013)

Works smooth as silk with fresh or shake. Don't let the big grip handle fool you, you don't even really need it. Packs em nice and tight like store bought which is good since I got used to packing them loose with my blue and my gold machine but then had to smoke two on break. Going to apply my new years discount coupon and get another one. (Posted on 1/3/2013)

Works flawlessly unless the tobacco is too moist or you over fill it. If the tobacco is too moist let it dry out a little and try it again or it will crank hard and leave a gap by the filter. (Posted on 12/10/2012)

I',ve had the T2 for almost a year cranking out a carton or so a week. No problems at all other than the crank handle nut sometimes will loosen up but a dab of Loc-tite or even fingernail polish will keep it snug.
Dab some oil on the moving parts and it should last quite a while IF YOU DON"T OVER FILL IT.
Remember to tuck tobacco in the corner where the spoon comes out and it will fill right to the filter every time.

Works for me, and if it doesn't anymore, broken parts can be bought and replaced unlike many other machines.
What's better than that? (Posted on 11/5/2012)

I purchased two of these machines..thinking they would be great after 5 yrs of 2 people using the other top-o-matic machine that worked wonderfully with the exception of replacing the rubber caps a couple times (no biggy) and repairing the springs until they were to short to repair anymore...anyway with that said I thought wow! this machine was the step up..well, in fact both machines worked exactly the same way..gaps at the end and super hard to crank. and packing the cig doesnt do anything but make them so tight you can not draw on it...i think i've dropped more fire in the 3 months" ive sucked it up and tried" than i have in the 30 yrs I've smoked..I would not recomend them. after researching a bit..i have found similar complaints across the board and there seems to be a parts corroison problem also.....I'm going back to the last model. Mechanism appears to be just a stamped steel copy of the topomatic machine. I guess they figured cheap guts and a fancy chrome finish will make it to shiny to resist. My T2 lasted 10 cartons before it started having trouble. Total garbage. (Posted on 10/14/2012)
TamperReview by Scott

I am on my second machine. The first one needed to be replaced because the tamper went bad. It seems that the coating which allows the tobacco to slide wears down and wont allow the tube to fill to the end. Grant it I was covered by the warranty and received a new after sending back the old one. This cost me almost $25 in shipping which is less than purchasing another one. The same problem is beginning to develop on the second machine although, I have yet to have a problem filling. Top-o-matic needs to figure a way for this coating to not wear away. I would appreciate any recommendations for others machines out there. (Posted on 9/30/2012)

I've been using mine for two years. I did have a problem with a screw coming out of the mechanism on the bottom of it but you don't have to be a genius to fix it. All the workings are right on the bottom. I do occassionaly put some oil inside where the mechanisms are because the tobacco will gum it up a little from regular use. I've got to say that even after rolling about 15 packs a week I have no complaints. (Posted on 9/13/2012)

I got this same machine and haven't had a single problem with it. I've talked with other ry-owners and they complain of the blade cutting through the filter on their machines. This has not happened to me at all. Once a friend packed too much tobacco in it though, and it wouldn't crank. I scraped out some of the tobacco, made a tight cigarette, and it's like this machine didn't skip a beat. I'm a VERY SATISFIED user and smoker. :) (Posted on 8/6/2012)
