Great for Metal heads!Review by Nazgul

Despite the bad, and mixed reviews, I tried them. Just got them today. They are great! Look metal AF! And They function just fine. I use a powermatic 2 plus. They load fine. You have to experiment a little, to find the right amount. But same goes for any tube. They do add a distinguished taste. You may, or may not like it. My ONLY complaint, is they don't come in 100s. Horrible tubes do not buyReview by GunH

The only thing the midnight tubes have going from them is they look really cool. Why the one star rating? Here are my problems with the tube paper is to thin easily rips, blows off machine, also you have to get the perfect amount of tobacco in the chamber for it to fill right overfill comes out bad underfill its to loose for a good smoke. Unlike other tubes where overfilling you just have to pinch off the end. (Posted on 6/20/2016)

These LOOK awesome, but that's it.They taste papery, and I Have bought them with every machine I've purchased and the result is the same...I can never stuff them all the way to the filter. (Posted on 3/22/2016)

i bought these because they look awesome. i enjoy trying a variety of different tubes, and i am enjoying this experience. i use an older Supramatic II, and had no problems with breaking/tearing, but usually i was left with a small part of the tube being empty (by small, i mean about 2mm (2 stripes on a normal tube)... just enough to make it bend at 60 degrees.

...I think I'll stick with the Nocturnes. While I didn't have an issue with the tubes splitting or tearing, I too was unable to get them to fill all the way. There is always at least a 1/2" of empty tube down at the filter end....and a plume of tobacco sticking out of the top. It's as if they're just a tiny bit narrower at the filter end. Never have this problem with the Nocturnes. (Posted on 10/25/2015)
Just gotta know how to pack themReview by James

These tubes have been my favorite for many years. You do have to know how to pack them. it requires a light touch. I use metal cigarette cases that I can't find any more that hold 19 cigarettes in two rows. I have 20 so am good for years to come. I found that it requires about 120 gentle taps in my hand while turning the case half a turn every 30 taps to pack these without crushing them. Takes about 60 seconds. If you don't have the patience then these are not for you. (Posted on 10/10/2015)

I don't have the same issue as everyone else on here with these tubes...The only drawback for me is the price..They're great tasting, and very cool looking,if they were cheaper I'd buy them with every order. (Posted on 10/8/2015)
My Tube of ChoiceReview by James

I tried a dozen tubes prior to these coming out and found I liked these. The only downside is that they require a light tough when packing. Every tube and tobacco creates a different taste and my wife smokes menthol so there is another tube and my daughter likes yet another brand of tubes. we found that SmokinG premium ended up being our of tobacco of choice to satisfy all three tastes along with the tubes. I've been MYO for 10 years and have tried dozens of combinations. (Posted on 7/28/2015)

Very tight fit on Poweroll. Adds an unpleasant taste. I had problems getting the tobacco to fill all of the way. I'm going to stick with the Elegante. (Posted on 12/13/2014)

I almost always buy Zen tubes and rarely have an issue with them. I did read the reviews here for the Vera Cruz Midnight tubes, and should have listened. These don't jam for me, but there is a big portion of the tobacco that never makes it into the tube and, like the others say, packing it is a problem. I use the Bugler injector and I've had a lot of these Midnight tubes tear at the ends, too. Still smokable but, for every ten smokes I make, I might get two that aren't screwed up in some way. I think the paper on these is just too thin. I end up with holes in them, too, where the regular Zen tubes I use don't do that. (Posted on 9/22/2013)

I got these on accident instead of the nocturne tubes ordered, and at first was kind of happy since I really wanted to try these but went for the others instead. Happy I got to try them I was soon disappointed because it seems like almost every one I tried to fill would not fill down to the filter, and had that plume of tobacco sticking out the tip. I didn't personally notice much for a taste, so that wasn't an issue for me, just the issue filling them. Very unique though. (Posted on 7/5/2013)

and probably won't based on the descriptive reviews here (plus, cost is a factor), but if you're wanting a "cool" or elegant looking tube, I highly recommend Beretta Elites! They stuff and smoke really well.
I will be ordering some Nocturne tubes though, because I had a sample of them a number of years ago and enjoyed the experience. (Posted on 4/12/2013)

My issue with these is the same as above in that I don't get a full "fill". Typically get 3/4 and then when trying to pack them down it will crinkle or whatever the term is around the filter so it's nothing at the bottom but a plume out the top.

The other Vera Cruz products are awesome though and are part of my regular orders everytime, but not this one. (Posted on 7/26/2012)

These look very nice. Classy even. The down side is that they split easily, and they taste rather harsh, presumably due to the dyes that make them so attractive. By all means if you want to be stylish while your getting your groove on for a night on the town, then give them a try. You just might want to wait until after you've had a few drinks to light them up so you don't care about the additional irritation. They do look cool , though. (Posted on 7/9/2012)

The tubes seem skinny so they don't take much tobacco to jam them up and only fill half the way..frustrating (Posted on 6/25/2012)
