Details

In the 19th Century, during the battle of Sevastopol, a French soldier (also known as a "Zouave") had his clay pipe broken by a bullet. He had the brilliant idea of rolling his tobacco in a piece of paper torn from a bag of gunpowder. In 1894, the Braunstein Brothers perfected the process of interleaving papers in a zig-zag manner and introduced a cigarette paper booklet under the name Zig-Zag®. In 1900, Zig-Zag gained international recognition when they were awarded a gold medal at the Universal Exposition in Paris. For over 100 years the image of Le Zouave has been part of all Zig-Zag cigarette papers as a tribute to that creative soldier. Today, Le Zouave and Zig-Zag are known throughout the world as a premium cigarette paper.

Have been using Zig-Zag tubes for many years now and have never had any problem with them. I think most MYO users with a machine know how to deal with tubes when the get crumpled or flattened. I use them regularly and am on the site now to reorder.

I have only used the "light" and the 100 mm. tubes. (Posted on 7/17/2013)

I had problems with these tearing as well also the filters keep coming loose from the paper. Nothing like lighting up and getting a non filtered drag... (Posted on 1/10/2013)
Frustrating to work withReview by Savanna

I used these when I first started RYO. It was very frustrating with how easy the paper collapsed on itself and how often they would tear. I've since switched to ZEN which have 50 more tubes, are more sturdy and are cheaper. (Posted on 7/15/2012)
